Maria
Elie, SPHR, Associate Director of Human Resources, joined the Marcus
Autism Center in February 2007. Maria came to us from Bell South having
served 19 years in various HR functions and is a Senior Professional
of Human Resources.
She serves on the Board of Directors
for Lekotek of Georgia and as a bereavement support volunteer for
Hospice Atlanta. Maria graduated from Oglethorpe University (Magna Cum
Laude) with a major in Psychology and minor in Organizational
Management. She has plans to begin her Masters in Social Work at the
University of Georgia later this year. Maria is also fluent in
Spanish.
She and her husband, Hayden, have been married for 14 years and have
lived in the Atlanta area over 25 years. She is the proud owner through
adoption of a loveable 110 pound Chow mix named "Diesel". A recent
addition to her family is a 3 year old beagle named Barnaby. Her
hobbies include oil painting and photography.
