John
Floyd joined the Marcus Autism Center in November 2007. He came to us
from SunTrust bank where he had over twenty-two years experience serving
not-for-profit institutions and performing investment roles. At the bank,
John supervised the Endowment & Foundation line of business for all
of SunTrust. Prior to SunTrust, he was in the Atlanta office of McKinsey & Company.
He currently serves on the Board of Brenau University, the Georgia Foundation for Independent Colleges and is past board member of the Atlanta Historical Society and the Atlanta Union Mission. In these roles, he led the building committee for the Museum of Atlanta History and the Development committee for the Union Mission capital campaign.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Haverford College and a Masters in Business Administration with distinction from Harvard Business School. He has taught at Georgia State University and been a frequent presenter at the Southeastern Council of Foundations.
John and his wife life in the Inman Park neighborhood of Atlanta with their two sons.
