Dekalb Autism Support Group Meeting Calendar

The Dekalb Autism Support Group Meeting is held the first Wednesday of the month from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in The Norman Shutters Resource Center on the first floor of Marcus Autism Center.  Each month, the meeting will feature a different guest speaker.

On Wednesday, May 5, 2010, the group will wecome Melanie Johnson and Madeline Griffith, parent mentors for DeKalb County Schools, who will present on “Bridging Transitions: Helping Families and IEP Teams Build Strong Bridges For Student Transitions.”  Children who experience changes in their educational placement often face a variety of challenges.  Melanie and Madeline will discuss how parents, schools and students can work together to ease the stress of these transitions.

These meeting are open to the public.  No reservations are required.  Please help spread the word about them!
