Clinical Child Psychologist
Lisa Guy, Ph.D. is a clinical child psychologist in the Pediatric Neurodevelopmental Center at the Marcus Autism Center. Dr. Guy also is an assistant professor at Emory University School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics.
Dr. Guy earned a doctorate degree in both clinical psychology and developmental psychology from the University of Miami in 1990. While attending the University of Miami, she also trained at the Mailman Center for Child Development, an interdisciplinary facility for children with developmental disabilities. Dr. Guy completed a predoctoral internship at Baylor College of Medicine. She has served in the past as assistant director of the department of psychology at the Marcus Autism Center and director of training for postdoctoral fellows.
Dr. Guy has taught psychology courses at the university level and has been invited to speak at conferences and workshops regarding the behavior and development of children with special needs. Her clinical practice includes conducting comprehensive neurocognitive assessments for children to determine diagnosis and educational planning. She also provides psychotherapy services to children and their families. Dr. Guy has 16 years of experience with children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
