Clinical Child Psychologist
Dr. Christine Hall joined the Marcus Autism Center in 2008, as a clinical child psychologist in the Pediatric Neurodevelopmental Center.
Biographical Sketch
Dr. Hall grew up in the Atlanta area. She attended college at Vanderbilt University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development and Human and Organizational Development in 1994. That same year she enrolled in the doctoral program in Clinical Psychology at Emory University. Her research pursuits included investigating the relationship between maternal depression and childhood outcomes, and examining cultural differences in family discipline strategies and associated behavioral problems in children. Dr. Hall was the recipient of the Dean's Teaching Fellowship, and taught courses in child development and psychopathology at the college level. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Institute of Juvenile Research at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she worked in a variety of therapeutic contexts with children living in at-risk communities.
Dr. Hall received her doctoral degree in 2004. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Emory University School of Medicine and the Marcus Autism Center, in the Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Clinic. For the next several years, Dr. Hall continued to conduct research with the Maternal Substance Abuse project in the Emory Psychiatry Department and also maintained a private practice. In 2008, Dr. Hall rejoined the Marcus Autism Center. Currently, her clinical practice includes conducting comprehensive psychological assessments for children to determine diagnosis and treatment planning. She also provides psychotherapy services to children and their families. She has a special interest in providing services to children with autism spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders and AD/HD. Dr. Hall enjoys reading, hiking, swimming, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
