Description:The Amit Program, a centralized Jewish special
education agency, provides a
continuum of services to ensure that children, regardless of ability, can
maximize their potential and participation in all aspects of Jewish
education through partnerships with families, educators, and the broader
community. Amit provides a modified, self-contained program for children
with moderate to severe learning differences and/or developmental
disabilities, learning labs within Jewish Day Schools, professional
development, speaker series and early childhood speaker series open to the
community, Buddy program, and is a central resource for families with
children with special needs.

Place Baptist Church offers respite care from 4-7 for special needs children
and siblings. They also have a special need Sunday school.

or medically fragile.

with many trained and/or certified teachers who lovingly care for
special needs kids. We comply with ADA requirements in our facilities.
Handicap parking with wheel chair accessibility is available in the
back of the church.

can be assured that your child's needs will be addressed.

Description: Hebron Baptist Church provides special education
services for children with special need. The Awana Friends program is held
on Wednesdays from 6:45-8:15pm. Special needs Sunday school is held at 8:30,
9:45 and 11am during church services. The Sunday school gives parent the option
of mainstreaming their child into the regular Sunday school class. There is
also a young adult Sunday school ministry for special needs young adults.

Description: There is a special needs Sunday school for all
ages held at this church. When possible the younger children are included with
the typical children. During this inclusion, a helper is provided for each
child. They also have an older teen Sunday school class. A respite program
is held on 2nd Monday of every month called AGAPE from 6:30-8:30pm.

Description: The Oakhurst Baptist Church provides Sunday school
classes for disabled. There is a disability mission group is made up
of adults. Their purpose is for inclusion in all areas of the church. There
are about three Sunday school classes for all children in the church. The church
emphasizes inclusion for their children. They teach the children about different
disabilities. The parents of the children with disabilities teach this topic.

Description: The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta offers
religious education for children and adults with special needs through out
the week. This program is available to all ages. Inclusion is stressed whenever
possible. This is available at the Catholic churches in North Georgia. Some
limitations may apply to each church. Please contact the Catholic Church nearest

9:30 class for disabled children. This class has about 10 children, which are
mostly autistic. There are 4 teachers in the classroom who teach religious
education to the children. The age ranges of the children who attend this class
are from 4-11.

Description: The Unitarian Universalist Congregation
of Atlanta provides two sessions of Sunday school: 9:30 and 11:30. There are
about 30 children with special needs in these classes. This program stress
inclusion so children with and without special needs are in the same class. Disability
awareness is part of the curriculum. There are volunteers for children who
need help during Sunday school.
