Christa Aoki

Christa Aoki, PhD, is a Clinical Psychologist and part of the assessment and diagnostic team at the Marcus Autism Center. Dr. Aoki completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California–Davis in psychology and neurobiology, physiology and behavior, and her doctorate in clinical psychology from Palo Alto University. Her research interests included the examination of the psychosocial outcomes of youth with medical complexities. Dr. Aoki completed her pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine and Marcus Autism Center. In her current position, Dr. Aoki specializes in conducting diagnostic assessments for toddlers, as well as preschool-age and school-age children. In addition to diagnostics, Dr. Aoki’s clinical interests include the provision of empirically supported treatments for youth with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) that include parent training, social skills training and cognitive-behavioral therapy for school-age youth with comorbid anxiety.
