We assess children from the ages of 16 months to 20 years of age.
Early Invention Program:
The Early Intervention Program is a caregiver coaching curriculum that teaches families of children under 4 years old how to encourage their children’s social communication. We use a blend of developmental and behavioral strategies to support Children’s social engagement, communication, imitation, and play skills, all while focusing on these skills within meaningful activities and daily routines. The service takes place once a week for 14-16 weeks, either at Marcus Autism Center in Atlanta, or via telehealth services.

Our Pediatric nurse practitioners specialize in assessing and treating children with autism including monitoring developmental progress and addressing their various behavioral, educational, and medical needs. They also prescribe medication when indicated to treat milder forms of psychiatric conditions such as ADHD, anxiety and mood symptoms.
Multidisciplinary Feeding Program
The Multidisciplinary Feeding Program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is designed for children with chronic and/or severe disruptions in their relationship with food, concerns for swallow safety, and/or medical complexity limiting food intake. The program provides services for children with a variety of feeding and eating concerns, including feeding tube dependence, underweight, drinking formula for most of their needs, and/or eating a limited variety of foods. Located at the Children’s Center for Advanced Pediatrics, Children's at Forsyth, and Marcus Autism Center, our multidisciplinary program is one of only a few programs in the country to offer empirically supported, treatment for children 8 months to 21 years old who have a pediatric feeding disorder and/or avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID).
Skill Acquisition Program
We provide comprehensive and focused interventions for children on the autism spectrum and their families. The Skill Acquistion Program provides individualized treatment focused on improving language, social communication, and play. Our approach is heavily rooted in the science of ABA, and we utilize developmental and play-based strategies to help make sure children are motivated and engaged while working on treatment goals that are most critical for their continued development.
